PLUG IN TO POWER UP

Staying connected

Fixing the radiator of my car. It's simple to fix. But the stuff I need to change is hard to get to. It's easy to give up.

The new better parts don't always fit right in the old car. So modifications must be done.

Gotta stay connected

Tried to just go about my business but there's no way to do what you're supposed to do with broken parts.

If church is car, you are the parts.

Through prayer n worship, and study of His word, and connecting to the church

When you connect to God, all the power of Heaven is at your disposal

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO GET YOUR PRAYERS ANSWERED EVERY TIME?  ALWAYS PRAY FOR STUFF THAT GOD WANTS.

Think how wonderful it would be to have such harmony with God that you knew what He wanted you to do and your prayers were answered every time.

According to Jesus, that kind of prayer power is available to every believer. It’s available to you and to me...if we will make our union with God the most important thing in our lives. Here are four ways you can stay connected to God… every day… all the time.

Stay Connected to God by Stopping All Compromise

John 15:4-5

Refuse to allow the things of the world—material possessions, career position, sinful pursuits, ungodly relationships or social standing—to eat away at your time with God. Get His Word into your heart so deeply that no one else’s opinion is important.

Stay Connected to God by Praying and Worshiping

Colossians 4:1-4

It’s time to talk directly to God. Instead of relying on anyone else to tell you what God wants for your life, start a direct conversation with Him. Tell Him what is on your mind. Tell Him your concerns. Ask for what you need and even what you want. Pray for the needs of others. And, believe that what you ask will be answered (Matthew 21:22).

Rufus Moseley, a great man of God who went to heaven some years ago, once said, “Life in Jesus is gloriously easy. It has one responsibility: the responsibility of remaining in union. If you stay in union with Him, He’ll take care of everything else.”

When you incorporate these steps into your life, staying connected to God is delightfully simple. You’re able to keep that vital connection and trust Him to take care of everything else.

Study of His Word

The word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It cuts all the way through, to where soul and spirit meet, to where joints and marrow come together. It judges the desires and thoughts of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

Your word is a lamp to guide me and a light for my path (Psalm 119:105)

Everything written in the Scriptures was written to teach us, in order that we might have hope through the patience and encouragement which the Scriptures give us. (Romans 15:4)

JUST SAY:  Yes, grass withers and flowers fade, but the word of our God endures forever. (Isaiah 40:8)

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

Staying Connected To Church

    Hebrews 10:24-25

24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another

    Colossians 3:16

16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.  YOU ONLY DO THAT IN CHURCH

So WHY is it so important to stay connected to church:  BC JESUS himself set up the church as THE way He was was to grow His kingdom.

Ephesians 4:11-13

11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
